AUTONOMOUS LEARNING CLASSES MAY 16TH AND 18TH

1. In this post I will show you the last example of a class with a lesson plan made previously.
But, n this case the example was made for my group, in the class of autonomous learning in May 16th.

GROUP 7 (Paula, Camila, Juan José)

Subject: Parts of the Speech
Drama Activity Strategy: Hot seating.
Parts of the class:
Warm up: We put to the students to play a small game which consist in count the odd numbers from 1 to 13 and repeat the sequence, then the person who lost must pass in front of the class and do the penitence.
Introduction: We talked about the parts of the speech, which are six: nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions and interjections.
Practice: To practice the new vocabulary we give to the students some photocopies, in which the activity was complete the information about the topic.
Production:  In this part they used the drama activity that was hot seating. The students made four groups, we brought four sentences with the words in disorder, each group had to organize the all sentence and select a person who represent the group, then those people had to guess the sentences that had on their head (in a hat).
Review: In the review we give to the students some photocopies to do in their homes.

2. In May 18th the teacher talked about of a tool, which helps to teacher to put the grades for different activities. That tool was Rubric, and the teacher shared us a website that had it.

  • When you go in the website you will look this:

  • Then, to create a rubric you must click in the option which is in the circle:

  •  When you click that option, you will find this:

  •  Here, you had to click the option which you ant, in this case I selected 'Oral presentation Rubric', and appeared this:

NOTE: The only thing that you need to do is complete the information acording to the activitie that you will calificate..

PERSONAL OPINION: Rubric could be very helpful to teachers who want to calificate, in an apropiate form, some activities that the students do in their classes.
