Everybody know that when technology didn’t exist, people
needed to do more activities for they tasks or anything to do. Before, children
and adults had to work in the farm, there were more works for people because
people realized everything (not a machine), also children needed to go to the
library to have information about their homeworks..etc
Then the
technology appeared and made more easily many things, for example If you were
going to do your homework, web 1.0 was a helpful tool, because you can search
information about your task and you didn’t need go to the library, but in this
web you couldn’t share information because it consisted in static websites. After,
web 2.0 appeared, all people know it, because consist in social networks,
interact online, download music, videos, upload informative videos, you can learn
online, post comments..etc.
The advantage for students or workers: they can do their
homework using tools like blogs, wikis, social networking..etc
SOME REASONS FOR USE TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION
1.
It is absolutely proven that the use of
technology in classrooms improves student learning and at the same time reduces
the time of instruction and the costs of teaching.

Students need for their professional future the
use of technology.
3.
There are many cultural factors that affect
learning; therefore the students need a wide range of experiences that includes
real aspects, visual representations and abstract symbols.
4.
Children are more motivated to learn when they
use tools they love.
PERSONAL OPINION: Technology is an awesome tool that helps
everybody, the use of technology in education is a great idea because you can
change your way to learn, you can have many helpful information about nowadays tools
that are required for many works. Also you can grow as a person, as a student.
WEBSITES TO LEARN ENGLISH
My classmates presented the following websites for learn
English:
This website is very useful for teachers as
a school material because has vocabulary games, vocabulary interactive board
games; also has material for a specific type of study: “Basic Education” which is
printable. In this page you can find links of other similar websites.
This website gives you English courses,
they can be beginner, intermediate or advanced; you can find vocabulary, grammar,
many games to practice. Also you can download books about how to learn English
or you can have a certificate.
It’s a website only to learn English by
practicing with examples or doing some exercises which are corrected by the
website. This website offers three levels: beginners, intermediate, advanced.
This is a complete website to learn English,
has a quiz to find your level, offers vocabulary, grammar, exercises for
pronunciation, conversation, reading and listening; also gives you a
certificate when you finish the course.
PERSONAL OPINION: Previous websites are good
for learn English, are very complete and could help me when I’m a teacher.
