AUTONOMOUS LEARNING CLASSES MAY 2ND AND 4TH
EXAMPLES OF CLASSES WITH A LESSON PLAN PREVIOUSLY MADE
My classmates of Autonomous Learning class did the
demonstration of how could be a class with a lesson plan done previously, and
how it could be interesting for students when you do drama exercises; remember that
in my previous post I show you the correct form to do a lesson plan (This is

) and in other post I talked to you about some drama strategies/activities

). Now, in this post I am going to show you the examples that my classmates gave
in the class.
GROUP 1 (Alejandro, Tatiana and Ana Maria)
Subject: Profession and occupation
Drama Activity Strategy: Props
Parts of the class:
Warm up: They
gave us (the students) photocopies which have the lyrics of a song but with
incomplete sentences, and we had to listen the song and complete it.
Introduction:
They talked about professions and occupations like: Actor, author, chef,
doctor, dentist, shop assistant, nurse, farmer, teacher and others.
Practice: To
practice the new vocabulary we talked with our partners about our parents’
profession or occupation.
Production: In this part they used the drama activity
that was props. They brought props of some clothes that usually use some
professions and occupations and we had to talk about the profession of the
accessory that we had put.
Review: In the
review we had to identify the profession and occupation of some pictures.
GROUP 2 (Mauricio, Laura and María Paula)
Subject: Parts of the city.
Drama Activity Strategy: Magic carpet.
Parts of the class:
Warm up: They did
an activity which the students had to do a list of verbs, that activity is
called “snake” and consist to write a word and the next word must starts with
the last letter of the previous word, but in this case those words had to be
verbs.
Introduction: They talked about some different places in
the city.
Practice: To practice the new vocabulary they gave us
some photocopies which had pictures of some parts the city, and we had to
identify them.
Production: In
this part they used the drama activity that was Magic Carpet. They brought two “Magic
Carpet” and four students had to give clues or describe a place of the city and
the other students had to guess, this activity was divided in two groups.
Review: In the review
we had to say the part of the city showed in the board.

Subject: Daily Routines
Drama Activity Strategy: Freeze Frame
Parts of the class:
Warm up: To start
the class they put us to play the game “Heads up”
Introduction:
They talked about vocabulary in daily routines, like: study routine, gym
routine, work routine, cooking routine, and others.
Practice: To practice
this topic they gave us photocopies which had some pictures about some actions
that you usually realize in a daily routine.
Production: In
this part they used the drama activity that was Freeze Frame, which consist
guess the routine in groups.
Review: In the
review they showed us a video with the same topic.

GROUP 4 (Natalia, Cristian and Nicolas)
Subject: Parts of the House
Drama Activity Strategy: Roll On the Wall
Parts of the class:
Warm up: They
gave us a picture of a part of a house and we had to talk about it.
Introduction:
They talked about some parts of a house and things that you can find in each
part usually.
Practice: To
practice the new vocabulary they gave us some photocopies which had a picture
of a house and their parts, we had to identify them.
Production: In
this part they used the drama activity that was Roll on the Wall.
Review: In the
review, they showed us a video with the previous topic.
PERSONAL OPINION: This examples could help future teachers
who want to make their classes more interesting, also to be prepared for each
class.
